Thanh Son Dang is a partner in Baker McKenzie's Hanoi office. Before joining the Firm, Mr. Dang was a general counsel for a state-owned telecommunications company with several subsidiaries in Laos, Cambodia, Mozambique, Cameroon and Peru.
Mr. Dang is experienced in handling foreign investment matters, telecommunications projects, banking and finance matters, and cross-border mergers and acquisitions.

Advised private and public companies, financial institutions and investors on corporate governance, joint venture, syndicated loan transactions and foreign investment into Vietnam.
Counselled telecommunications companies in Vietnam on regulatory matters, including spectrum license, numbering allocation and mobile tariff policy.
Acted for a Vietnamese state-owned group on the acquisition of shares in a telecommunications company in Haiti and Tanzania.
Represented a state-owned group on debt restructuring and a cross-border loan facility.
Assisted MNC clients on data privacy matters and telecommunications licensing regulations in Vietnam.
Advised a telecommunications company in Vietnam on an EPC contract for a marine fiber-optic cable construction project valued at USD40 million.
Counselled a client on a share acquisition of a telecommunications company valued at USD120 million in Vietnam.
Assisted a Vietnamese state-owned enterprise on the acquisition of spectrum licenses in Laos, Cambodia, Mozambique, Haiti, Peru and Tanzania.
