Biography

Yi Fan is an associate in the London Banking & Finance Practice. Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Yi Fan worked at a leading Singapore law firm.

Yi Fan advises banks and corporate borrowers on a variety of domestic and cross-border bank finance transactions, including syndicated and bilateral loans, acquisition financing and real estate financing.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Advised a club of lenders in providing SGD 2.8 billion bridge facilities and SGD 1.8 billion real estate development facilities for a major real estate developer.

  • Advised a club of lenders in providing SGD 2.5 billion revolving facilities to a major Singapore telecommunications operator.

  • Advised a club of lenders in providing SGD 2.1 billion facilities to a Singapore borrower, following the acquisition of the borrower by a major sovereign wealth fund.

  • Advised a club of lenders in providing SGD 1.3 billion secured bridge facilities to a Singapore borrower for its acquisition of a land parcel.

  • Advised a club of international lenders in providing USD 1 billion working capital facilities to a Singapore listed borrower.

  • Advised a club of international lenders in providing USD 500 million sustainability-linked facilities to a global agri-business company.

  • Advised a syndicate of Japanese lenders in providing JPY 25 billion samurai loan facilities to a global agri-business company.

  • Advised a major Singapore bank in providing secured SGD 316 million facilities for the acquisition and delisting of a Singapore-listed company with a security package consisting of, among others, Singapore statutory security over scripless shares.

  • Advised a Singapore company in obtaining SGD 240 million leveraged financing to refinance its existing debt prior to its acquisition, delisting and privatisation, with a security package consisting of security in six jurisdictions.

  • Advised a major Singapore bank in providing offshore secured CNY 542 million facilities to a Singapore fund for the acquisition of a Hong Kong entity and its PRC subsidiary in an onshore-offshore financing.
