Octavia is an associate in the Intellectual Property and Technology department of Baker McKenzie's London office. She joined Baker McKenzie as a Trainee Solicitor in September 2017 and was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in September 2019. During her training, Octavia was seconded to Google's Commercial Legal Team for six months and later to the Intellectual Property and Technology department of Baker McKenzie's New York office.

Practice Focus

Octavia's practice covers a range of technology and commercial law issues. She regularly advises on regulatory issues, including data privacy, consumer protection and marketing, as well as general contractual aspects of commercial and consumer agreements.

  • Acting for a large music streaming service in one of the largest music rate setting disputes in the UK in recent years.

  • Drafting, negotiating and advising on commercial contracts for clients in the technology, consumer goods and life sciences sector.

  • Advising on general commercial, regulatory and consumer law matters.

  • Advising multinational clients on GDPR compliance.

  • Coordinating and advising on product launches involving a large number of jurisdictions.

  • Advising on the outsourcing of IT services for a customer with operations in more than 50 countries.

  • Advising on intermediary liability and music licensing issues.
