Biography
Jonas Josh Florentino C. Cabochan is an associate in Quisumbing Torres’ Tax Practice Group. Prior to joining the firm, he was a law intern at the Board of Investments and undertook research on the application of Most-Favored Nation Clauses in Bilateral Investment Treaties, and Research and Application of Fair and Equitable Treatment Clauses.
Josh obtained his Juris Doctor degree with Second Honors from Ateneo de Manila University in 2020, and was admitted to the Philippine bar in 2022.
Practice Focus
Josh has worked on general tax planning and various tax matters, including tax dispute resolution, regular audit assessments, tax exemption requests, and tax compliance for domestic and international clients. He also worked on dispute resolution and litigation matters in relation to commercial law, real estate and patent-related matters. He assists and advises clients across sectors including financial institutions, infrastructure, technology, consumer goods and retail, industrials, manufacturing and transportation.
