Before joining the Banking & Finance team of Baker McKenzie • Diwok Hermann Petsche Rechtsanwälte LLP & Co KG, Dieter Buchberger was practicing law at Raiffeisen Capital Management, the largest Austrian asset management company, and various other well known and recommended Austrian law firms. At Raiffeisen he was in particular responsible for regulatory matters concerning investment funds and for funds related capital markets issues. Since 2006 he is admitted to the Bar in Vienna and prior he gained four years of experience as trainee lawyer and at court. He is a member of Union, a very distinguished law society at the Viennese bar association.

Practice Focus

Dieter is advising national and international clients with regard to banking and capital markets (in particular investment funds law). His focus of practice is the support of foreign and domestic investment funds in all legal matters, in particular regulatory matters and recovery of damages. Furthermore, he is in particular engaged in multijurisdictional financing transactions including securitization. The clients range from asset management companies to major credit institutions and multinational corporations. His practice is limited to the legal advice under Austrian Law.
