Biography

Mag. Thomas Blecha is a senior associate in the Baker McKenzie Public Procurement Practice Group in Vienna. Thomas has almost 15 years of experience in public procurement law and is author of the handbook "Vergaberechtsschutz in Bund und Ländern" as well as (co-)author of several publications on public procurement law and especially on the legal protection in procurement procedures. Prior to joining the Firm in 2022, Thomas has worked in renowned national and international law firm's public procurement teams.

Practice Focus

Thomas' main focus is on national and European public procurement law. He advises and supports both public contracting authorities and bidders in all procurement law issues. His activities include in particular the implementation of procurement procedures and the representation of both public contracting authorities and bidders in procurement control procedures before the administrative courts.
