Biography

Santiago joined the firm in 2022, after working at the Deputy Superintendence for Competition Protection of the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce. He is a lawyer from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (2019) and has a post-graduate degree in Market Regulation from Universidad Externado (2022). Santiago has over four years of experience in law firms and in the public sector, and has a special interest in competition law, regulatory affairs and intellectual property law. He is currently part of the Antitrust & Competition team, where he advises different clients on matters regarding competition law, data privacy, consumer protection law and corporate compliance.

Practice Focus

Santiago focuses his practice on competition law, advising clients from different economic sectors on several matters related to merger control procedures, as well as administrative investigations conducted by the Colombian Competition Authority, and providing general advisory regarding free economic competition in Colombia. Likewise, Santiago also advises clients on several matters related to data privacy, consumer protection and corporate compliance.
