Lucy Baker is an associate rotating in the Energy, Resources, Mining and Corporate group at Baker McKenzie in the Sydney office. She joined the Firm as a summer clerk in 2018 and commenced her current role in 2020. Prior to this, Lucy had experience in public M&A and commercial dispute resolution.
Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Lucy taught undergraduate science at the University of Sydney and worked as a research assistant assisting counsel at Maurice Byers Chambers.
Lucy has acted for large domestic and international clients in various commercial disputes involving misleading and deceptive conduct, breaches of director duties, commercial leasing and copyright matters.
Lucy's transactional experience includes advising clients on a range of due diligence issues and assisting with public and private M&A deals in the energy, resources and mining space.

Lucy's pro bono work involves volunteering for Women's Legal Service, Amicus (Fighting for Justice on Death Row), Refugee Advice & Casework Service and the Senior Rights Service.
