Biography

Zuhal Ayar is an associate in Baker McKenzie’s Munich office and a member of the Information Technology Practice Group. Before joining the Firm, she was a research associate at an international law firm and a vistiting researcher at  UC Berkeley, School of Law. During her judicial clerkship, Zuhal worked for an international law firm and an American multinational technology company.

Practice Focus

Zuhal advises national and international clients on all aspects of information technology and data protection law. She particularly advises companies on data protection and privacy law, e-commerce and internet law. 

Representative Legal Matters

  • Advised a global technology company on the implementation of a global data protection structure.

  • Drafted general terms and conditions and privacy statements for websites and mobile applications.

  • Advised a global technology company on legal aspects of cybersecurity.

  • Advised on the introduction of various global IT systems and related issues regarding employee data protection.
