Vania is an associate at Baker McKenzie's Bogota office. She has five years of experience in dispute resolution from working for prestigious law firms in Colombia.Vania also interned at the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris and at the International Arbitration department of a global law firm in London.
She was awarded the Colfuturo scholarship to pursue her LLM studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science. She obtained her LLM degree in International Business mainly focused on international arbitration and corporate law.
Vania’s practice focuses on commercial litigation and international arbitration in all types of industries. She has handled cases before Colombian national courts and arbitral tribunals.
She has dealt with civil, commercial and international arbitration cases, particularly commercial agency disputes and investment disputes, derived from the violation of bilateral investment treaties, as well as from the application of anti-arbitration injunctions.
