South Korean gaming company KRAFTON Inc. has acquired Swedish gaming studio Neon Giant. The acquisition is an investment in KRAFTON's development and service capabilities to ensure a steady pipeline of premium titles.

KRAFTON Inc. is a South Korean video game holding company based in Seoul, founded in 2007. The company has produced or owns rights to several notable video game titles including TERA, PUBG: Battlegrounds, New State Mobile, Moonbreaker and The Callisto Protocol. The company consists of 7 independent studios globally, each with its own unique expertise.

Neon Giant is a Swedish video game developer founded in 2018 and headquartered in Uppsala, Sweden. The company became famous for its widely appreciated debut title The Ascent in 2021.

Baker McKenzie acted as legal advisor to KRAFTON in the acquisition. The firm's team consisted of 26 lawyers and the core team consisted of Carl Svernlöv, Sofie Sternberg, Linnea Rahm, Albin Stålberg, Max Thimmig, Richard Grön and Melinda Roos.
