Helmy, Hamza & Partners, Baker McKenzie Cairo office, is once again running its popular law student internship program, Baker A+. Due to the success of last year's program, the firm is offering a further two spaces to eligible law students, with eight students being accepted to the program this year. The program is open to law students entering their fourth year of study, and who have received excellent academic grades, at any university in Egypt. The deadline to apply is July 15, 2021.

The program is an intensive two month training scheme, designed to offer participating students the chance to develop a deeper understanding of their legal knowledge and education, while building practical skills that can be applied in their future careers. The program will run during students’ summer vacation, from August 1, 2022 to August 31, 2022. The primary components of the internship program include introductory sessions in the firm’s different practice groups, substantive legal assignments under the supervision of senior lawyers, team-building projects, online training on Baker McKenzie’s internal systems, soft skills training, as well as court visits.

“We are delighted to be reopening our doors to Egypt's future legal talent, who will be immersed in a range of legal activities, tasks and experiences designed to enhance their legal expertise. We look forward to meeting the new students soon," said Mohamed Ghannam, Managing Partner and Head of Projects at Helmy, Hamza & Partners, Baker McKenzie Cairo.
