Global law firm Baker McKenzie is pleased to welcome 66 summer associates and clerks in North America. The 2022 summer associate program will be fully in-person after two years in a virtual setting. The Firm's summer associates will have opportunities for skills-based training, pro bono projects, team-building events, substantive legal assignments and networking events.

The Firm's summer associates in the US represent 36 law schools and are composed of 62 percent women, 38 percent BIPOC and 11 percent LGBTQ+. In Canada, 60 percent of our summers are women and 38 percent of our Mexico clerks are women. They speak a combined total of 11 languages.

In addition, 12 of the Firm's summer associates will be seconded to our key clients through our Inclusion & Diversity Client Summer Scholars Program, where they will have the opportunity to gain valuable exposure to in-house legal work, while also connecting with top lawyers across the industry. The program is now in its sixth year.

In addition, three of our summer associates have been awarded our Diversity Fellowship, which is given to second-year law students committed to contributing meaningfully to the diversity of the legal community.
