Malaysian PETRONAS Chemicals Group Berhad has entered into agreements to acquire Swedish specialty chemicals company Perstorp Holding AB.
PETRONAS Chemicals Group Berhad is Malaysia's leading integrated chemicals producer and one of the largest in Southeast Asia. Headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, it operates a number of world-class production sites, which are fully vertically integrated from feedstock to downstream end-products.
Founded in 1881, with its headquarters in Malmö, Sweden, Perstorp is one of the world’s leading specialty chemicals companies. The company operates manufacturing units in Asia, Europe and North America as well as sales representation in all major markets.
Baker McKenzie acted as legal adviser to PETRONAS Chemicals Group Berhad with an international team consisting of 155 lawyers in 25 offices across four continents - including subject matter experts, local experts and industry experts.
