Lane's practice focuses on the tax aspects of complex domestic and cross-border transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures, tax-free spin-offs, restructurings, public offerings and other financings.

Lane received his BS in Accounting and M.Acc. from Brigham Young University and his JD from Harvard Law School. In his professional career, Lane worked as a transactional tax attorney in two leading law firms, as a member of KPMG’s tax compliance and M&A groups, and as in-house tax counsel at Albemarle Corporation. He also spent time in Beijing seconded to the sovereign wealth fund China Investment Corporation.
