Baker McKenzie has advised Super Energy Group (HongKong) Co., Limited, a subsidiary of Super Energy Corporation Public Company Limited ("Super Energy"), in the sale of its 49% interest in Solar NT Holdings Pte. Ltd. to AC Energy Vietnam Investments Pte. Ltd. with a transaction value of approximately USD 165,000,000. The transaction is part of Super Energy's long-term objective to form a strategic partnership for the joint investment and development of a solar energy portfolio in the ASEAN region outside of Thailand.
Super Energy is a leader in the renewable energy sector with a portfolio of solar, wind and waste energy power plants in Thailand and overseas, and its subsidiary, Solar NT Holdings Pte. Ltd., owns and operates nine operating solar energy power plants in Vietnam with a total capacity of approximately 837 MW.
AC Energy Vietnam Investments Pte. Ltd. is a subsidiary of AC Energy Corporation ("ACEN") which is a company registered in the Philippines and operating conventional and renewable energy businesses under the Ayala Group. ACEN owns operating project companies having an aggregate installed capacity of more than 3,000 MW across the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, India and Australia.
