Baker McKenzie advised hotel group Beaumier on its acquisition of three hotels in Wengen, in the canton of Berne, Switzerland. Beaumier took over the three hotels in Switzerland's Alpine region for an undisclosed amount. The hotels are located in the center of the village. They have ski-in, ski-out capabilities and magnificent views of the Jungfrau and the Lauterbrunnen Valley.
The transaction is the first purchase for Beaumier outside of France, and it marks a strategic next step for its continued growth in Europe and beyond. Beaumier's preexisting portfolio is made up of eight hotels spread across the French Alps, Provence and the Côte d'Azur.
Baker McKenzie Switzerland advised the buyer on all legal aspects of the acquisition.
The Baker McKenzie team was led by Alexander Wyss (partner, M&A/real estate transactions) and Ramon Tissafi (associate, M&A/real estate transactions), and it consisted of Bettina Klein (associate, financing and real estate), Daniel Kälin (associate, real estate transactions), Gabrielle Tschopp and Kaspar Projer (both associates, employment), Vinzenz Sutter (associate, M&A/corporate) and Samuel Turtschi (trainee lawyer).
