Baker McKenzie is pleased to announce that it has been reappointed to bp's legal panel.
The Firm has held a place on bp's international legal panel since 2018. This latest appointment will see Baker McKenzie being appointed to the company's newly introduced Singapore panel that will run from 2022 to 2024.
According to news reports, firms were assessed based on their diversity and inclusion and 'energy transition' capabilities.
Commenting on the Firm's successful reappointment, Martin David, Asia Pacific head of Projects, said: "We are absolutely thrilled to be appointed to bp's Singapore legal panel. There could not be a more exciting time to be working with bp as the company 'reinvents' itself and transforms from an international oil company to an integrated energy company to achieve its ambition of being a net zero company by 2050 and improving people's lives around the world. As bp explores new ways to deliver low-carbon solutions, we look forward to working side by side with our client and assisting them in achieving their strategic goals in Asia Pacific."
Martin continued: "The recent panel assessment also reflects bp's strong focus on sustainability, which is also a key focus for Baker McKenzie. We look forward to not only sharing our experiences and helping bp navigate their sustainability challenges, but more importantly, working together to co-create new solutions to achieve our shared goals for a more sustainable world."
