Baker McKenzie's Global Chief Operating Officer, Kate Stonestreet has been recognized as #1 in Women We Admire's list of Top 100 Women Leaders in Law for 2021. 

The Women We Admire award for law showcases the accomplishments of the many talented women who represent the profession. These women have set a benchmark for excellence and are paving the way for other future leaders. 

In acknowledgment of this accolade, Kate commented: "I'm very pleased to be included in this list, alongside so many inspirational women, and proud to work for a firm where women can succeed and achieve (way beyond) what one might have imagined to be possible in our younger years."

As part of her role as Global Chief Operating Officer of Baker McKenzie, Kate is also a driving force behind the Firm's Global Race & Ethnicity Task Force which helps to implement and operationalize programs to advance racial and ethnic diversity. Kate also plays a leading role in Baker McKenzie's Global Socio-Economic Diversity Program and is a passionate contributor to the firm's Inclusion & Diversity discussions. 

Kate Stonestreet first joined the firm in 1995 as Director of Business Development for Asia Pacific. Prior to her role as COO, she held several other positions including, Regional Operating Officer of EMEA and Director of Global Operations. Stonestreet earned an MBA in Business Administration and Management from Western University and an undergraduate degree in Public Policy and Administration from Northumbria University.
