Baker McKenzie advised Aeris Cleantech AG and its shareholders on its acquisition by US-based company iRobot Corporation.

Founded in 2015, Aeris Cleantech AG designs and sells a range of high-quality and high-performance air purifiers. The company is privately held and based in Cham, canton of Zug, Switzerland. With its acquisition by iRobot, Aeris will be able to build the next generation of high-performance air purifiers, devices that will be integrated into iRobot's vision of the smart home. This smart home approach enables Aeris' air quality solutions to clean the air better due to additional spatial information.

iRobot is the world leader in consumer robotics; it designs and manufactures robots that help people complete more tasks inside and outside their homes. The acquisition of Aeris supports iRobot's vision of building the world's most thoughtful robotics and developing intelligent home innovations that make life better.

The Baker McKenzie Switzerland team was led by Alexander Fischer and Christian Rioult, and Steven Canner and Michelle Heisner led the US team of Baker McKenzie.
