Sibel Owji has joined Baker McKenzie's market-leading North America Tax Practice as a Partner in San Francisco. She will advise businesses on a broad range of cross-border matters, including complex US and international tax, legal, operational and business issues.
Sibel brings nearly three decades of professional and legal experience. She joins Baker McKenzie from DLA Piper, where she was the Chair of the International Tax Practice, including the Transfer Pricing Subgroup, and the Vice Chair of the Tax Practice.
Sibel’s practice focuses on advising multinational companies on a wide range of international matters, including sophisticated international tax and transfer pricing engagements with a strategic and practical focus on business operations and commercial aspects, business transformations, global transfer pricing strategy and documentation, international tax controversy, cross-border acquisitions, dispositions and joint ventures, cross-border pre and post-acquisition integration, US taxation of foreign operations, supply chain structuring, and key US and global tax reform provisions and other tax matters globally.
