Leading global law firm Baker McKenzie has appointed Nicola Sinker as Chief of Staff in its London office. Nicola joins from BCLP, where she was Global Deputy Chief Operating Officer for the Corporate Department, and commences her new role on Monday 11 January.
Nicola will serve on the Firm's London Management Committee led by Managing Partner Alex Chadwick and support the EMEA+ Chief Operating Officer (COO), Enrique Ascanio. As Chief of Staff, Nicola will be responsible for London operations and for supporting the implementation of the Firm's strategy and vision in London. This includes operational and commercial efficiency, service delivery and innovation as well as fostering a higher performing and collaborative culture. She will also play an important role in relation to the London office relocation project.

Nicola began her career at PWC, becoming a qualified chartered accountant, and then spent 9 years at Standard Chartered Bank in a variety of roles across investor relations, operations, strategic and business planning. In 2017, she moved into the legal sector and joined BCLP.
