Baker McKenzie Switzerland advised Datwyler on its sale of the online distributor Reichelt to Invision AG. With the sale of Reichelt, Datwyler will now be specialising solely in system-critical elastomer components.

The online distributor Reichelt has 280 employees and generated CHF 188.8 million in revenue in 2020.

Invision AG, based in Zug (Switzerland) and Düsseldorf (Germany), is an established private equity firm with vast experience across more than 60 acquisitions since 1997. Invision aims to use its capital and expertise to boost the potential and development of Reichelt in tandem with the existing management team. 

Datwyler is a leading provider of high-quality, system-critical elastomer components. With
more than 20 operating companies, sales in over 100 countries and more than 7’000 employees Datwyler, headquartered in Switzerland, generates annual sales of more than CHF 1’000 million (incl. online distributor Reichelt). The company has been listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange since 1986.

The sale of Reichelt is due to be completed in autumn 2021. The Baker McKenzie team was led by Alexander Fischer (Zurich) and consisted of Markus Wolf, Roger Thomi and Zarina Fueglister (all Zurich) as well as Nikolas Lazaridis (Frankfurt) and Tino Marz (Munich).
