Baker McKenzie took home "Labour and Employment Law Firm of the Year" and "Technology, Media and Telecommunications Law Firm of the Year" at the recent ALB Hong Kong Law Awards 2021. In addition, the Firm was recognized for its role in advising Gaw Capital Partners and a consortium of institutional investors on their HKD 9.8 billion acquisition of CityPlaza One office building, which has been named "M&A Deal of the Year."
Commenting on the awards, Steven Sieker, managing partner of Baker McKenzie's Hong Kong and Mainland China offices, said: "The COVID-19 pandemic, increased regulatory scrutiny and digital disruption have presented many new challenges to businesses, and often times, they are required to respond in a situation without much precedent. These awards are a reflection of our small successes in helping clients tackle some of these issues during this challenging period. We are humbled by this honor".
"As our clients emerge from this pandemic at their own pace and move from resilience to business recovery, we are committed to support them every step of the way and to help them achieve the best possible outcome."
