Baker McKenzie assisted Schur Flexibles, a leading European supplier of flexible packaging, in the acquisition of 100% of the company shares of Termoplast, an Italian company leader in Europe in the production of sustainable and fully recyclable films.
Thanks to the acquisition of Termoplast, Schur Flexibles has accelerated its expansion in Italy. Furthermore, through its recycling company, Termoplast is making a valuable contribution to the "zero waste" strategy and to a circular economy, both during production and in post-consumer waste treatment.
Baker McKenzie assisted Schur Flexibles with a cross-border team composed of the Frankfurt-based Partner Christian Atzler, head of EMEA M&A practice group at Baker McKenzie, and, in Italy, by the Counsel Alessandra Calabrese and the Associate Margherita Pasi, with the support of the Senior Associate Mario Cigno for the regulatory profiles, and of the Counsel Serena Fantinelli for the labor profiles, coordinated by the Partner Pietro Bernasconi, head of the Italian M&A practice.
