Commenting on his appointment Ed Poulton said: "It is a great honour to be elected Managing Partner of Baker McKenzie in London. We are at an exciting juncture in the evolution of our office, having experienced significant growth and success over the past 5 years, particularly in our transactional practice groups. I want to pursue that growth path, at the same time as we continue to adapt to working and living with the Covid-19 pandemic. One of my priorities will be to ensure that our firm continues to offer the best possible experience for our clients, and our people. Casting ahead, I am also looking forward to taking the reins as we finalise plans for our move to our new offices at 280 Bishopsgate in 2023."
Fiona Carlin, EMEA+ Managing Partner, added: "The election of Ed Poulton for a term of three years is excellent news for Baker McKenzie in London. The London office has experienced strong growth under Alex's leadership and I am confident that he will continue to build on that success and carry forward our ambitious growth plans."
