Baker McKenzie advised Paragon on the sale of NovumIP, the combination of leading IP services providers PAVIS and Novagraaf, to the French Questel Group. The transaction is subject to approval by the relevant authorities. The parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction volume.
NovumIP was formed through the merger of PAVIS and Novagraaf with the goal to provide clients with a wider range of IP advisory, administration, and technology-led services. NovumIP has become a focal point for all IP clients' needs along the IP value chain.
An international team of Baker McKenzie lawyers advised Paragon comprehensively on all legal and regulatory aspects of the complex transaction.
"With a well-coordinated team, we were able to contribute to the successful completion of the transaction under the difficult conditions in the Corona pandemic on both the legal and regulatory side. Following the combination of PAVIS and Novagraaf to form NovumIP, the merger with Questel will form a leading global provider of end-to-end IP solutions", comments Dr. Ingo Strauss, Baker McKenzie lead partner on the transaction together with Dr. Heiko Gotsche.
