On becoming Chair, JB said, "I feel very proud and honored to be given the opportunity to lead such a strong, diverse and talented group of 250+ practitioners, covering all areas of real estate across the globe. The pandemic has brought both new trends and challenges to the global real estate marketplace, including space as a service, proptech, digitalization, and green spaces, amidst a world where restructurings, work-outs, non-core asset dispositions, market exits and space optimization / reconfiguration are becoming the norm.
I would like to thank Malgorzata Pietrzak-Paciorek for her outstanding and warm leadership of our Real Estate team for the past years, as well as my fellow Global Real Estate Steering Committee members, whose great contributions will allow us to continue building on the success of our practice. I am looking forward to bring to our clients our global platform, leading market position and in-depth practical and local knowledge, in order to help them navigate swiftly through this challenging and interesting times, while helping them define what the 'next normal' means for the future of their businesses and helping them unlock the opportunities that the market has to offer."
Juan Bernardo García holds a law degree by Mexico’s Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey and a Masters on International Law by the Georgetown University Law Center.
