The world's leading law Firm, Baker McKenzie, was recognized for the third consecutive year with the “Socially Responsible Company” distinction in the large company category, awarded by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (Cemefi) and the Alliance for Corporate Social Responsibility for Mexico (AliaRSE).
The achievement of this distinction for the third consecutive year is the result of a comprehensive effort by the Firm, its Corporate Social Responsibility area and committee. The SRC distinction must be endorsed year after year to maintain the culture of corporate responsibility.
Miriam Villafaña, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at Baker McKenzie, explained: "Within Baker McKenzie, we work not only to be a firm that offers first class legal services, but also to leverage resources and talent to have an ethical and responsible impact. This distinction demonstrates our commitment to being a Socially Responsible Firm to our stakeholders and reflects our more than 12 years promoting responsible initiatives and programs for the common good."
In its online announcement Cemefi commented on the recognized companies: "We know it was a complicated year that required great efforts on the part of the recognized companies to continue their commitment to social responsibility, and we are fully confident that they will continue working to create a better Mexico”.
