Baker McKenzie's Intellectual Property Practice in Ukraine has been ranked in Band 1, according to the 2021 edition of "World Trademark Review 1000: The World's Leading Trademark Professionals."

According to the research, "Baker McKenzie is one of a handful of international law firms with a foothold in the Ukrainian trademark scene. Its Kyiv office provides a full-bodied service to a range of companies, both domestic and international. Its potent anti-counterfeiting and domain name capabilities are a further draw for clients, which flock to its doors for effective and innovative enforcement. Another selling point is a sophisticated electronic platform granting patrons real-time access to their global portfolios."

In individual rankings, Ruslan Drobyazko, a partner and head of the IP practice group in Baker McKenzie's Kyiv office, has been ranked as Band 1 Individual and characterized as "a master of IP-driven transactions, anti-counterfeiting and enforcement."

The directory has also included Counsel Oleksiy Stolyarenko and Associate Myroslava Koval-Lavok into the top individual list. Oleksiy has been represented as "'diligent and responsive' and is also a poised litigator, in addition to being a registered patent and trademark attorney in Ukraine." Meanwhile, Myroslava has been recognized as an "unflappable project manager who executes flawlessly across the trademark spectrum and can tease out favourable results in both conflict resolution and transactional settings."
