Marcin Trepka joins the Baker McKenzie office in Warsaw as a partner in the Antitrust & Competition practice. Three members of his team will join the Firm with him: Elżbieta Buczkowska, Martyna Wurm and Łucja Olszewska.

Marcin Trepka is an attorney at law who specializes in Polish and EU competition law with particular focus on restrictive practices and agreements (cartels, verticals), antitrust litigation, abuse of a dominant market position, merger control and state aid. Marcin represents clients before the competition authorities, Polish and EU courts of law and the Polish Supreme Court. He also has extensive experience in consumer law issues, in particular in regulatory and litigation aspects. Before joining Baker McKenzie, Marcin headed the competition and antitrust team at the K&L Gates Warsaw office, which last year became DWF Poland.

Elżbieta Buczkowska combines her in-depth litigation and competition law expertise. She has a great wealth of experience in advising clients on European Union competition law, state aid, antitrust litigation, and international litigation issues. Elżbieta represents clients before the European Union Courts and European Commission agencies. She also has almost 15 years' experience in commercial litigation before the Polish courts. Elżbieta worked for more than 17 years in governmental administration of the Republic of Poland. She represented the Republic of Poland in a number of proceedings before the European Union Courts. For over 10 years Elżbieta led a team of governmental lawyers responsible for the court representation of the State Treasury and representation of the Republic of Poland before the courts, tribunals and other bodies adjudicating in international relations in a great number of matters. She joins Baker McKenzie as a counsel on 1 December 2020.
Martyna Wurm is an attorney at law who specializes in the area of Polish and EU competition law, including anti-competitive agreements, abuse of a dominant market position, merger control and private enforcement of competition law. She also specializes in consumer law, including advising business entities on their compliance with consumer rights, especially in terms of the process of offering and selling products or services and standard contracts and general terms used in relations with consumers. In her practice of competition and consumer law, she also has considerable experience in representing clients before the courts and competition authorities. In addition, she actively participates in the works of the global Cartels and Leniency Task Force of the ICC Competition Commission in Paris. Before joining Baker McKenzie, Martyna worked at the Warsaw offices of K&L Gates and DWF Poland. She will join Baker McKenzie as a senior associate.
Łucja Olszewska supports the practice in various aspects of Polish and EU competition law, in particular on issues relating to anti-competitive agreements, abuse of dominance as well as broadly-defined compliance, private enforcement of competition law and merger clearance. She is currently studying for a master's degree in law at the University of Warsaw.
