Helmy, Hamza & Partners, Baker McKenzie Cairo office, recently won the prestigious IFN Law Awards for the category of “Capital Markets.” Organized by renowned Islamic finance media company, Islamic Finance News (IFN), this year’s awards honored 11 legal firms for their outstanding achievements in Shari’ah finance.
The Capital Markets award recognized Helmy, Hamza & Partners’ role in advising Arab Company for Projects and Urban Developments, a subsidiary of Talaat Moustafa Group (TMG) Holding, on its inaugural first in Egypt sukuk program which is based on a Shari'ah-compliant ijara Sukuk technique with a value of EGP 2 billion (USD 126.53 million).
