Baker McKenzie won the Netherlands Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year award at the annual ITR European Tax Awards. It is Baker McKenzie's tenth win -- a feat unmatched by any other Dutch firm. Additionally, the international firm won eleven other prizes this year.
"I am very proud of our team, that works together seamlessly every day to provide our clients with the best possible advice," said Margreet Nijhof, partner, co-head of the transfer pricing team and member of Baker McKenzie's EMEA Tax Steering Committee. “The transfer pricing team delivers excellent cross-border tax advice in the field of transfer pricing and dealing with changing regulations in various jurisdictions. Our tax specialists work closely with lawyers, notaries and economists within the office. It's the third year in a row that our practice has won this award, and the 10th time since 2005, an important confirmation for us that our integrated method and pragmatic approach adds value. The fact that we owe this prize partly to the positive feedback from our clients is of course a great compliment."
Baker McKenzie won 12 ITR Awards in total, including the National Tax Firm of the Year in Belgium, France and Turkey, and the National Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year in the Netherlands and Luxembourg. Baker McKenzie was also recognized for three different Impact Deals and Cases, which included their work on the acquisition of the luxury hotel chain Belmond by LVMH last year and on the Google vs. France landmark case.
