Leading global law firm, Baker McKenzie, received twelve awards at the International Tax Review (ITR) European Awards 2020, including National Tax Firm of the Year in Belgium, France and Turkey and National Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year in Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
ITR is a leading global publication dedicated to international tax strategy. The ITR European Tax Awards celebrate the best tax, transfer pricing and dispute resolution work across the EMEA region. Award submissions are judged on the scale, complexity, and innovation of impactful client work over the past year. Firms and in-house tax teams from over 30 jurisdictions competed for these awards, which were presented virtually on May 21.
Baker McKenzie received the following awards:

Tax Litigation and Disputes Practice Leader of the Year (Eric Meier, Paris)
Baker McKenzie was also recognized for three Impact Deals and Cases of the Year, which included their work on the acquisition of the luxury hotel chain Belmond by LVMH last year and on the Google vs. France landmark case. Eric Meier led on this case and was named by ITR as Tax Litigation and Disputes Practice Leader of the Year.
This marks the 10th ITR Transfer Pricing win for the Netherlands team and the fifth one in a row for the Luxembourg team. Last year also, the Firm won the National Tax Firm of the Year award in Belgium and Turkey, the US Tax Firm of the Year in Europe and the European Tax Disputes Firm of the Year in Europe awards.
