Baker McKenzie welcomes William Sentell as a Counsel in the North America International Commercial Practice Group, adding to the Firm's franchise and distribution experience in North America and globally.
William joins the Firm from Polsinelli PC, where he focused on franchise and distribution, including regulatory and compliance matters, as well as franchise dispute-related matters. William will continue to focus on these areas in Baker McKenzie's large and growing franchise and distribution group, which includes a core team of over 20 practitioners.

William has assisted clients with establishing international brands and emerging concepts as well as growing mature brands. He frequently writes and presents on legal issues affecting the franchise community for legal and industry organizations. In 2018, William earned the American Bar Association Forum on Franchising Chair's Award for Substantial Written Work or Presentation.

William earned his B.A. from Macalester College and his J.D. from Louisiana State University's Paul M. Herbert Law Center. After graduation, William served as a judicial law clerk for the Nineteenth Judicial District Court for the Parish of East Baton Rouge. He is licensed to practice in Texas, Colorado, and Louisiana.
