Baker McKenzie announced today that Sarah Helfers has joined the Chicago office as Counsel in the Corporate & Securities Group, bringing to the Firm a unique skillset as a corporate practitioner with a complementary background in tax.
Sarah's practice focuses on managing the corporate implementation of complex domestic and cross-border intercompany transactions. She has also guided U.S.-based multinationals through international tax planning for post-acquisition integrations, pre-spin business separations and other cross-border transactions.

We’re excited to welcome Sarah back to the Firm,” said Alan Zoccolillo, Chair of the North American Corporate and Securities practice.
Sarah earned her B.A. from Amherst College and her J.D. from Loyola University, and started her career as an attorney at the Internal Revenue Service's Office of Chief Counsel. In 2008, Sarah joined Baker McKenzie as a corporate associate before switching to the Tax Practice Group in 2015.
