Baker McKenzie and The Walt Disney Company received the Stewart B. McKinney Award for their commitment to advancing solutions that prevent and end homelessness from the National Law Center on Homelessness & Poverty. The Law Center has teamed up with Baker McKenzie and The Walt Disney Company to launch the Homeless Youth Handbooks to help youth experiencing homelessness understand their legal rights.
Partner Angela Vigil accepted the award at the 21st Annual McKinney-Vento Awards on Tuesday, November 19 in Washington, DC. In addition to Baker McKenzie and The Walt Disney Company, the honorees this year included Rep. Joyce Beatty, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Goodwin LLP, HighQ, Latham & Watkins, and Khadijah Williams. Additionally, ABC News Correspondent Stephanie Ramos served as the emcee for the evening.
