Baker McKenzie advised Jackson Generation, LLC., a subsidiary of J-POWER USA Investment Co., Ltd., on the development and project financing of the 1,200 MW natural-gas-fired combined cycle facility to be located in Will County, Illinois.

Kiewit Power Constructors Co. is the engineering, procurement and construction contractor and  Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Americas, Inc. is supplying the power island including its 501 JAC gas turbines and will provide maintenance services for the project.

The Baker McKenzie project team advising Jackson, was led by the Firm’s Global Projects Practice Group Chair, James P. O'Brien and included Jai Khanna, Stan Sirot, Brian Zurawski, Matt Martin, Tony Noh and Brian Lee.

J-POWER USA and its affiliate companies now have interests in 12 US power generating facilities, totaling approximately 6,500 MW.
