Baker McKenzie announces the appointment of a new international partner, lawyer Francesca Gaudino, and two new local partners, lawyers Rita Marchetti and Luca Pescatore.
Francesca Gaudino, specialist in the TMT area, is an expert in the area of data protection and security, with specific attention to legal issues emerging in the use of cutting-edge technologies in various industry sectors (retail, fashion & luxury, banking, insurance, pharmaceuticals). Francesca, with a group of specialists, assists Italian and multinational clients in a range of data protection and security related matters, including data protection compliance programs, education and training, adoption of devoted e-tools for HR management and reporting, implementation of CRM/CEM projects, management of critical issue like data breaches, administrative and civil disputes. The team is a legal partner of applied research projects funded by the European Commission in the context of Privacy by Design- Programme Horizon 2020.
Rita Marchetti, active in the real estate area, has gained extensive experience in the acquisition and divestment of real estate properties through both asset deals and share deals, and real estate development projects, in particular in the hotel & resort and retail sectors. She assists primary clients operating in the real estate, insurance, banks, retailer and hotel groups sectors.
Luca Pescatore, active in dispute resolution, specializes in litigation and, during his professional experience, focused on litigation and developed vast expertise both in civil and commercial law, assisting primary clients belonging to different industries. He has also developed substantial knowledge in arbitration proceedings, both national and international, as well as in bankruptcy issues.
These moves are part of the global appointments of 81 new partners, growing the total number of partners worldwide to 1,550 – 400 of whom are women – the highest number of any law firm.
