Baker McKenzie acted as lead legal adviser to private equity firm Rhône Capital and its affiliate Wellbore Integrity Solutions (WIS) on the USD 400 million acquisition of the drilling and fishing businesses from Schlumberger, a global oilfield services company, in 25 jurisdictions across the Americas, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
The acquisition includes the businesses and associated assets of DRILCO, Thomas Tools, and Fishing & Remedial services, along with manufacturing operations in Houston, Texas and gives WIS close to 1,100 employees globally.
The Firm's core deal team included partners Marcos Basso, Amar Budarapu, Roger Bivans and Jorge Gonzalez.
