Leading global law firm Baker McKenzie continues to grown its London transactional practices with the appointment of Philip Thomson to the Energy, Mining & Infrastructure (EMI) practice, part of Corporate, later this month. Philip joins from Ashurst where he was partner and Global Co-Head of its Oil & Gas practice. His hire plays a key role in further enhancing the Firm's energy sector transactional offering.

Philip's broad skillset and sector experience will complement our strengths in the EMI industry, and add further focus to our LNG capability, and enable us to harness these opportunities even better going forward."
London Managing Partner Alex Chadwick said: "I am delighted to welcome Philip to the Firm. His wealth of experience, deep sector knowledge and strong client relationships will elevate our EMI practice. His hire also plays straight to our London-centric global growth strategy."
