Elliott Murray is a proven expert in the areas of Wealth Management and Private Clients. He focuses his practice on representing individuals, families, and financial institutions on a wide range of US tax, international regulatory, and wealth planning matters. He has particular expertise working with European and Middle Eastern based families with US connections and cross-border trust and estate planning issues. Elliott is a member of the Firm’s European Wealth Management Steering Committee and is co-head of Baker McKenzie’s FATCA/CRS practice in Switzerland.
Elliott joined Baker McKenzie in 2013 starting in Miami and has been based in Switzerland since 1 August 2013. He graduated from the University of Texas School of Law (J.D.) and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2010. Elliott is a frequent speaker and writer on international tax and private wealth topics.

81 new partners worldwide – almost 40% women
Worldwide, Baker McKenzie elected 81 new partners, effective as of July 1, 2019. This latest investment in the Firm's expertise grows the total number of partners worldwide to 1550. Over 400 of these are women – the most of any law firm. Also this year women make up almost 40% of the newly promoted cohort of 81 partners; a market-leading number for any law firm. Across the Firm's practice groups globally, Tax and M&A saw the largest intake of new partners, with Dispute Resolution also significantly adding to their numbers.
During the Financial Year 2019 (July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019), Baker McKenzie also added 34 lateral hires, strengthening the Firm's already strong client service capabilities in key practice areas. Combining this year's promotions and new lateral talent, the Firm added 115 partners to its ranks.
