A cross-office, cross-practice team of lawyers from Baker McKenzie recently advised a consortium led by Shanghai's Jin Jiang International Holdings on its acquisition of the Radisson Group from the HNA Group.
The Baker McKenzie team was led by M&A Partners Howard Wu and Cherrie Shi in Shanghai, Capital Markets Partners Joakim Falkner in Stockholm and Nick Marchica in New York, Antitrust & Competition Partner Gavin Bushell in Brussels, International Trade Partner Rod Hunter in Washington, DC, with the support from Special Counsel Grace Li in Shanghai. The team acted as lead counsel on the transaction, with the primary responsibility of advising the clients on deal structuring and on legal and regulatory issues, conducting legal due diligence, preparing and negotiating the transaction agreements, related acquisition financing arrangements, and general transaction management, pertaining to HK law, US law, Swedish law and EU Competition law.
