Milan, 22 March 2018 - During the Welcome - Working for Refugee Integration Ceremony awards, Baker McKenzie Italia received a special prize from the High Commissioner Filippo Grandi for the Refugees Integration Project as recognition of the significant commitment shown in the promotion of specific programs for the labor placement of more than 30 refugees in Lombardy.
Andrea Cicala, the responsible partner for Baker McKenzie's pro bono activities in Italy, commented: "The Refugee Integration project aims to be the first real step towards the effective integration of refugees. For the companies, these people represent a resource — often not considered — capable of bringing effective value and developing a more inclusive and sensitive working environment. The success of all the refugees (over 30) whom we have helped to find a job is tangible proof of this. This prestigious award shows us that we are on the right path and motivates us to continue the journey."
