Baker McKenzie partner Jennifer Trock has been appointed Chair of the International Commercial Practice Group in North America. In this role, Jennifer will also serve as a member of the Firm’s North America Regional Council.

Jennifer, who is based in Washington, DC, is in the Firm’s Global Aviation practice, where she also co-leads the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) multidisciplinary team, sits on the Firm's Global Industrials, Manufacturing, and Transportation Steering Committee, and is chair-elect of ABA’s Forum on Air & Space Law. Jennifer is on the Board of the International Aviation Club, and is active in the International Aviation Women’s Association. She also sits on the board of Food & Friends, a DC-based 501(c)(3), which provides nutritionally balanced meals to people living with live challenging illnesses like cancer and HIV/AIDs.

Airlines, drone operators, airports, aerospace manufacturers, and corporate flight departments routinely seek out Jennifer for counsel on complex aviation-related regulatory, aviation safety, litigation, enforcement, commercial and financing matters.

“Jennifer is an exceptional practitioner and is well-known for her skills and leadership in the aviation industry. She understands the unique needs of businesses in the aviation sector,” said Colin Murray, Chief Executive Officer of the North America Region at Baker McKenzie. “I am confident that under Jennifer's leadership our International Commercial practice will continue to grow and build upon the positive momentum the team has already established.”

She succeeds Michael Santa Maria, who was recently named to the Firm’s Global Executive Committee and continues his active cross-border commercial practice.

"I am honored to be named Chair of the Firm’s North America International Commercial Practice," said Jennifer. "Under Mike’s strong leadership, the International Commercial Practice set an example for providing practical, globally-minded legal solutions for our clients, and I look forward to continue to build on our past success.”
