Baker McKenzie has advised Ryan in the context of its acquisition of the VAT Systems group. This acquisition will allow Ryan to pursue its ambition to create the largest indirect tax firm in North America and Europe, with a portfolio of global clients.
Based in Dallas, the Ryan group, with its multidisciplinary teams of more than 2,200 professionals serving over 14,000 clients globally (including many of the most prominent Fortune 500 countries) is the world leader in the supply of services relating to national, local, federal and international taxes on a multi-jurisdictional basis, in particular in the field of tax credit, consulting, claims, compliance and technological services.
VAT Systems is an international group established in 8 jurisdictions, founded in 2004 and based in Paris, which acts as a one-stop shop for all international tax questions in over 30 countries, principally in the field of compliance and VAT recovery services, excise duties, customs duties and permanent establishments abroad.
By bringing together the skill sets of the two companies, Ryan will be able to supply its clients with innovative solutions in order to improve their efficiency and to adopt a global approach to tax compliance.
