Jennifer Trock to head Air and Space Law, Will Woods to lead Franchise ForumsBaker McKenzie partners Jennifer Trock and Will Woods have been elected to chair the American Bar Association’s Forums on Air and Space Law and Franchising, respectively, for 2-year terms beginning in 2019.
Jennifer, who is based in Washington, DC is in the Firm’s Global Aviation practice, where she also co-leads the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) multidisciplinary team, leads the Washington office's Baker Women attorney group, and sits on the Firm’s global steering committee for its Industrials Manufacturing and Transportation industry group. Airlines, drone operators, airports, aerospace manufacturers, and corporate flight departments routinely seek out Jennifer for counsel on complex aviation-related regulatory, aviation safety, litigation, enforcement, commercial and financing matters. She serves as the chair of the ABA Forum on Air & Space Law’s Drone Committee, and was previously the Forum’s Sponsorship Liaison.
The ABA Forum on Air and Space Law serves as a one-stop shop for international and domestic aviation and space law practitioners in a broad array of areas, including those related to airlines, labor and employment, finance, environmental, antitrust, airports, general aviation, drones, space, regulatory, and travel distribution.
Will Woods has been instrumental in growing the Firm’s Franchising & Distribution practice into a leading cross-border team that advises franchisors on the structuring and operation of their domestic and global franchise programs and throughout their life cycles. Will has worked closely with franchise companies across many industries, including leading hotel, lodging and hospitality franchise companies, and has vast experience in negotiating complex franchise and licensing transactions both in the US and abroad.
