Baker McKenzie advised Cartonplast Group GmbH ("Cartonplast"), a company owned by Stirling Square Capital Partners and the management, on the acquisition of Germany-based Green Plate GmbH ("Green Plate"). The parties agreed not to disclose the transaction volume.

Cartonplast is the leading provider of reusable and recyclable plastic layer pads on a rental basis used as divider sheets in the transportation of glass, can and PET containers. After the acquisition of Green Plate, Cartonplast's pool of reusable and recyclable plastic layer pads will amount to more than 45 million units and its service network will count on 17 operating sites in the Eurasian region plus 9 on-site / in-house service centres in Brazil and South Africa.

Baker McKenzie advised Cartonplast on all legal aspects of the transaction.
"The acquisition will allow Cartonplast to provide an even better service to its customers along the entire German value chain. With the breadth of our team we were able to support the successful execution of the transaction from a legal perspective," comments Heiko Gotsche, Corporate Partner at Baker McKenzie in Dusseldorf.
Founded in 1985, Cartonplast is headquartered in Dietzenbach, Germany. Cartonplast's reusable and recyclable plastic layer pads are being used at more than 130 production sites in 21 countries for the transportation of glass, can and PET containers to filling stations in the food and beverage, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.
