Baker McKenzie advised Cartonplast Group GmbH ("Cartonplast"), a company owned by Stirling Square Capital Partners and the management, on the acquisition of Germany-based Green Plate GmbH ("Green Plate"). The parties agreed not to disclose the transaction volume.
Cartonplast is the leading provider of reusable and recyclable plastic layer pads on a rental basis used as divider sheets in the transportation of glass, can and PET containers. After the acquisition of Green Plate, Cartonplast's pool of reusable and recyclable plastic layer pads will amount to more than 45 million units and its service network will count on 17 operating sites in the Eurasian region plus 9 on-site / in-house service centres in Brazil and South Africa.
Baker McKenzie advised Cartonplast on all legal aspects of the transaction.

As a pioneer for a "green" business model, Cartonplast has more than 30 years of experience in delivering, collecting, sorting, cleaning and managing of reusable and recyclable transport packaging products.
Green Plate GmbH is based in Neu-Isenburg, Germany, and also supplies plastic layer pads to container producers.
