Dr. Patrick Mittmann joins Baker McKenzie as Partner in Banking & Finance . He joins Baker McKenzie from Hogan Lovells, where he worked as a member of the banking and finance practice group since 2010, since 2013 as a partner. The envisaged entry date is September 1, 2018.
Dr. Patrick Mittmann advises banks, insurance companies and debt funds as lenders as well as private equity firms, real estate developers and other institutional borrowers on all sorts of loan financings. His practice focuses on large-volume and complex real estate financings. His advice covers acquisition financings and refinancings in respect of single assets and real estate portfolios, real estate share deals, construction and development financings and hotel financings. On the lender side, his clients include banks as well as alternative lenders such as insurance companies and debt funds.

Most recently, Mittmann advised, among others, Berlin Hyp AG on the acquisition financing of the Ku'Damm Eck for RFR and Centrum as well as on the acquisition financing of the Triforum in Cologne by the German Estate Group. He also recently advised a joint venture of Proprium Capital Partners and Forte Capital Deutschland on the financing of a real estate share deal in relation to a German residential real estate portfolio. In the recent past, he advised, among others, a bank syndicate led by Deutsche Hypothekenbank on the € 960 million financing of DIC Asset AG. He also advised Foncière des Murs and Grand City Hotels as borrowers on hotel financings.

Patrick Mittmann has worked as a lawyer at renowned law firms, as an investment banker at J.P. Morgan and as a inhouse legal counsel at FREO group. He gathered international experience working for two years in the New York office of a major US law firm.
