As part of the strategy of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee to promote the gender agenda in the global law firm Baker McKenzie, the Women @ Baker McKenzie event, specifically focused on issues of gender equality, was held in Mexico City on May 17th. The event was hosted by Tatiana Escribano, Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee, together with Raymundo Enríquez, Chair of the Social Responsibility Committee, and Miriam Villafaña, Director of the Corporate Social Responsibility area in Mexico.

More than 80 women from all practice groups within the Firm attended the event. The agenda included topics of global relevance, such as role models, women's empowerment and inclusive leadership, among others. Likewise, the Firm reaffirmed its position on gender equality by joining the "HeforShe" campaign in Mexico, which was created by the United Nations, through a panel of experts who spoke about the importance of men's involvement to reduce the gender gap and the relevance of this matter in the overall strategy of the Firm.

Several opinion leaders were invited as speakers, such as the Global Director of Diversity and Inclusion of the Firm, Anna Brown, the PhD Anthropologist Marta Lamas, the Director of ICG for Citibanamex, Carolina Machado, the Director of Governmental Affairs of Speyside, Gonzalo Escribano, and partners from different practice groups in the Firm.

Baker McKenzie reaffirms its commitment to equality by implementing the actions established both in its national CSR plan and in the initiatives of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
